This is a model of a Mogul design old-timer steam locomotive. It has a Coca Cola ® paint scheme in Era III. All of the driving wheels are driven by a powerful Bühler motor with ball bearings and 1 wheel includes a traction tire. The locomotive has an mfx/DCC decoder with many light and sound functions. Model was tested and ran ok, but will need cleaning and lube as it has sat for some time. Solid model with tarnish. Original box and foam in good condition with minor wear. Lots of original foam has lost its memory or is deteriorating and will not serve its intended purpose. I replace or remove inferior foam as needed, use additional padding, and wrap with plenty of bubble wrap. I use sturdy boxes with all seams taped ensuring that you don’t receive a box of “parts”. I pay special attention to my brass items, as many have been cherished for decades, were handmade, and deserve to remain a part of modeling history. Thanks for looking at Cherry Picked Trains! The model is in average condition with spotting and wear/tarnish on the locomotive and auxiliary tender. The model was lightly oiled when tested with typical gear noise for the model. There was stalling on the cheap switches on my test track and the wheels are dirty. There is a flat brass rectangular piece that is missing between the cab and rear oil tank. There were some miscellaneous soldering repairs made to the model including soldering the cab to the cab floor. The box and foam are in average condition with some tape repair to the bottom of the lower box. Please view the photos to determine the condition. Please view my other auctions/listing. Original box, PFM-branded plastic sleeves, and instruction sheet. Original packing foam is in excellent condition, still soft with no rot. Has some tarnish due to age. Runs smoothly in forward and reverse, although is slightly louder forwards. Gearbox is freshly lubricated and the flexible drive coupling has been replaced with silicon tubing since the original rubber coupling had dried and cracked. Smokebox front is unsoldered so that the headlights can be illuminated if desired. PFM Southern SRR F-1, 4-6-0 Ten Wheeler in Brass. The cardboard spacer supporting the roof vent is still in place. Beautiful patina that only the Japanese models tend to have.
