HIGHLY DETAILED OO9 SCALE MODEL KIT. 0-6-4 Saddle Tank – “Beddgelert”. This is a detailed scale model kit for adult collectors. Not for children under 14 years old. In 1878, the Hunslet Engine Co. Designed and manufactured order number 206 for the North Wales Narrow Gauge Railway in Gwynedd, Wales. This 0-6-4ST locomotive was built to 2? Gauge, and named Beddgelert. The kit includes all parts required to assemble the working chassis, including accurate replacement flycranks. You will need modelling tools (such as a craft knife, cutting board, files and micro-drills) adhesive, paints and ballast material (such as Liquid Gravity) to assemble the kit. The model requires a Graham Farish Class 08 Shunter Chassis (outside framed version) to complete. This is a highly detailed scale kit built using our in house machines, with High Definition resin and build layers just 50 microns (0.05mm) thick. In 1924 the locomotive was heavily modified in order for it to be able to operate on the Ffestiniog Railway. Russell continued to operate on the Welsh Highland Railway up until its closure in 1937. In 1965, it was donated to the Welsh HIghland Railway preservation group for restoration, first steaming again in 1987. The model comes with a static chassis for display, and can be motorised with a Graham Farish Class 08 Shunter Chassis (outside framed version – either non-DCC or DCC-ready).
