Even if noted as running well, it is always advisable to do a proper clean and lube before extensive running as dust, old lube, aged rubber, etc all need attention. Specific comments for this item follow below. Tested and fully working with full dcc sound, I believe it is a tsunami decoder. This has been test run only. This is a MODERN version, NOT an older black box model. The modern black box + dcc sound versions are the MOST detailed bachmann spectrum has made, and are their top locomotives. Green box (Dcc fitted, good detail). Red box (Dcc fitted, better detail). Blue box (Dcc sound, good detail). Gold Box (Dcc sound, better detail). Black Box Dcc sound, prof. You will get what you see, if you don’t see it then it isn’t included. If not sure, please ask me. In particular, if I don’t show or state there is a box, or battery, etc then there isn’t.
