Accucraft Caradoc live steam locomotive with 2.4GHz radio control and Summerlands Chuffer in excellent little used condition. Finished in GWR green with. Water top up valve, copper chimney cap, opening smokebox door and tool box. Really nicely proportioned loco with radio control professionally fitted to the reverser. Steams and runs well. This is the later version with smoke box rivet detail. Very few signs of use – just the odd small mark and a tiny dint in the brass dome that is barely noticeable. The tool box is secured using a small dab of silicone so it can be removed or re-located easily. Sale includes RC transmitter, instructions and water top up bottle but no paperwork or box. From the Accucraft website: Caradoc is a freelance side tank locomotive with design inspirations from Hunslet. The loco is internally gas fired with a centre flue boiler. The model is built from stainless steel and brass and is gauge adjustable from 32mm to 45mm gauge and has insulated wheels as standard. The axles run in bronze bearings and all the rods and valve gear are manufactured from stainless steel. The cab roof slides backs to give access to the gas, water and lubricator fillers. The boiler is fitted with a water level check valve and the displacement lubricator has an under floor drain valve. Scale: 16mm to 1 foot (1:19). Length: 262mm (10 ¼ ins). Gauge: 32mm or 45mm. Width: 116mm (4 ins). Min Radius: 0.6M (24 ins). Height: 160mm (6 ¼ ins). Weight: 4.1 kg (9lbs). Reversing Gear: Piston type, reverse by lever in the cab. Valve Gear: Simulated Stephensons link. Westside Model Company Pennsylvania Railroad 4-4-6-4 Q-2 Duplex made by Katsumi in Japan. This locomotive is in great condition. Both gear boxes were cleaned, inspected and re lubricated as model was sitting for several decades. It runs really well, smooth and quiet with a large open motor. Paint looks good, with light fading/weathering. I would point out that when weathering valve gear they didn’t rotate it causing some obvious masked areas. One side of tenders decals are starting to show age with haziness. Original box has one split corner, foam has been replaced. Thanks for looking at Cherry Picked Trains! A couple of notes. Send me a message if you are interested in multiple items being. I take packing seriously! I use bubble wrap, plenty of packing material, and sturdy boxes. Loose cars will be wrapped in. This engine has been tested for full functionality and is in Excellent condition both cosmetically (see note below on panel) and mechanically.
