Aileen 1/16th Live steam Engine 45mm G scale. I bought this in 1993. Been in storage ever since. Still in original box it came in, with everything that was in the box. Some of the documentation has faded over time. There is some fine surface rust on the cabin, which is not deep and can be cleaned up. All the mechanism is still free. A lovely well built Gauge One 4-4-0 live steam Midland Railway. Johnson class 3 Belpaire. Believed to be a Keith Cousins/Paul Forsyth design locomotive. Silver soldered Boiler Meths Fired The loco measures 625 mm long (24). Single Cylinder, slip eccentric valve gear. Mechanical water pump with by-pass valve. Displacement lubricator between frames in cab. Hand pump fitted in tender. Pressure gauge, regulator and blower in cab Sprung buffers, scale coupling to front of loco and a sprung 3 link one to the rear of the tender. Track included in sale. Been on display for a while so, will need lubricating. No tight spots when moved forward or back. Cash on collection preferred. Quite heavy but, will post at cost fully insured and individually wrapped for damage protection. One of the superb Roundhouse Leek & Manifold live steam locomotives. This example is factory fitted with Radio Control and comes with super detailing tools. The model has also had works plates fitted, however these are only attached with blue-tac and can be easily removed. The model is in excellent condition having been steamed a total of 15 times by it’s previous careful owner. The front buffer beam cover is slightly coming away but can easily be taped back down with double sided tape. Excellent smooth runner at both low and high speeds. Europe & Rest of World. Accucraft Caradoc live steam locomotive with 2.4GHz radio control and Summerlands Chuffer in excellent little used condition. Finished in GWR green with. Water top up valve, copper chimney cap, opening smokebox door and tool box. Really nicely proportioned loco with radio control professionally fitted to the reverser. Steams and runs well. This is the later version with smoke box rivet detail. Very few signs of use – just the odd small mark and a tiny dint in the brass dome that is barely noticeable. The tool box is secured using a small dab of silicone so it can be removed or re-located easily. Sale includes RC transmitter, instructions and water top up bottle but no paperwork or box. From the Accucraft website: Caradoc is a freelance side tank locomotive with design inspirations from Hunslet. The loco is internally gas fired with a centre flue boiler. The model is built from stainless steel and brass and is gauge adjustable from 32mm to 45mm gauge and has insulated wheels as standard. The axles run in bronze bearings and all the rods and valve gear are manufactured from stainless steel. The cab roof slides backs to give access to the gas, water and lubricator fillers. The boiler is fitted with a water level check valve and the displacement lubricator has an under floor drain valve. Scale: 16mm to 1 foot (1:19). Length: 262mm (10 ¼ ins). Gauge: 32mm or 45mm. I have had it steamed up and running my intention was to build a tender for water and a bigger gas tank or spirit burner, i have most of the parts for that. Also have a rolling road with it so it can run on that also a stand i made so i could work on it 360 degrees. It is mounted on rails at the moment on a hardwood base. Accucraft Trains – D&RGW C-25 2-8-0, 1:20.3 Scale, Live Steam, Butane or Coal. This locomotive, a 2-8-0 or Consolidation type, originally existed as # 103 of the Crystal River Railroad, a narrow gauge line located in the Elk Mountains of central Colorado. It was built in 1903 as C/N 21757 of the Baldwin Locomotive Works, had 33 drivers, 18×20 cylinders, and a tractive effort just short of 25,000 pounds. It was a standard Baldwin design, and other narrow gauge locos of this size and type were built for railroads in the Western Hemisphere. Originally the locomotive was a class 112, this number reflecting the total weight of the locomotive, but eventually the D&RGW changed the classification numbers of their locomotives to reflect their tractive effort, and thus the classification of C-25. Interestingly, for a while the cab of this loco carried C-25-112 as its classification. The C-25 was affectionately known as the Baby Mudhen because its pulling power was close to that of the K-27 class, those engines being known as Mudhens. The 375 when it was put into service in 1916 was the best steamer on the railroad at that time. Sadly, on June 21, 1949 the one and only C-25 on the D&RGW was scrapped at Alamosa, Colorado. 1:20.3 Scale / 45 mm Gauge. Brass & Stainless Steel Construction. (1.2 M) Mini.
