16mm scale Tony Sant Finescale Engineering GVT’Sir Theodore’ live steam locomotive in very good working condition with original Finescale wooden box. It is meths fired with a silver soldered copper pot boiler, Wheldon type heat shield and geared manual control with reversing lever. Currently set to SM32 but easily re-gaugable to 45mm using grub screws. The body simply lifts off the chassis for servicing by pulling the centre buffers which are reverse sprung to hold the body in place. I most recently steamed this just yesterday and despite it being quite windy it ran really nicely. It can handle my tight radius curves with ease. I took a couple of short video clips, one of which I have put on youtube for viewing. Here is the link. Mechanically it is in very good condition. The gears are not showing any visible signs of wear. I’ve never been able to get the steam whistle to sound – the valve opens and from what I can see, some steam enters the whistle but not enough to sound it – something to fettle. There are a couple of minor areas of paint loss on the chassis but overall this loco is in lovely condition – especially when you consider its age. The body is in excellent condition too with no dents or scratches. The paintwork is like new and unmarked and it has a high quality lining job with works/nameplates. Length over buffers 25cm. Pearse Locomotives L&B’Lew’ 2-6-2 Live Steam Locomotive dual gauge (32mm and 45mm) with 2.4GHz radio control. Thinning down my collection due to furlough – please see my other items. Finished in Southern Maunsell Olive Green unlined livery – build number 538. Only 50 of these locomotives were built by Pearse. The green paintwork is in lovely condition – no scratches or dents. There are a couple of very small touch ups where numbers have been removed just behind the cab door openings on each side but they are hardly noticeable. Mechanically it is a superb runner in both directions, a real joy to drive, with no apparent wear in the connecting rods or valve gear. It has the usual Pearse features – copper boiler, water level blow down valve beneath the cab, steam shut off valve, pressure gauge and lubricator. Wheels and pony trucks are both adjustable for gauge using grub screws. Will be very well packed and posted using UPS next day. 16mm NGM Association member. 16mm Scale Mamod Chaney Live Steam Locomotive SM32 Garden Railway Gas Fired

Here we a much modified 16mm scale (SM32 / O Gauge) Mamod live steam gas fired. Over the years this locomotive has gained many parts and upgrades, these consist of, new upgraded cylinders (looks very much like IP engineering Jane ones), new steel wheels (also looks like there from an IP engineering Jane), in cab. Regulator, gas burner, side tank overlays, extended chassis at the back with different bunker. I believe the tank sides, and different bunker are from Mike Chaney. The loco also has a upgraded safety valve, different smokebox door handle, brass chimney cab, and different handrails. Plus there are different buffer beam overlays, and steel centre buffers. Could do with a tidy up personal. The loco does work, although there is a leak on the pipework, its also a little sluggish on steam, probably could do with a little TLC, which I cannot give time to do with several other projects so its best for me to sell on. Meths fired top up in cab. Just been serviced new wicks fitted and brand new 2.4GHz RC. By Chuffed To Bits. So Id rather she went while she is in tip top condition to someone who loves these locomotives. Roundhouse Dylans now becoming rare although retaining the usual Roundhouse quality and reliability. Overall very nice for her age, one lamp bracket missing from rear of cab as you can see from photos easily replaced. Comes in a custom made wooden carry box. Roundhouse Charles Pooter Live Steam Locomotive SM32 Garden Railway 16mm scale

Roundhouse Engineering Charles Pooter Mk1 live steam locomotive with Hackworth valve gear – SM32 gauge only. Early version with circular spectacles which I think dates it to around 1985 or 1986. In lovely original condition with original paint – hard to believe that it is 35 years old. At that time it was possible to specify gas firing rather than meths (both externally fired) and radio control as an option when ordering and this has both factory fitted from new. Radio control is on both the reverser and steam regulator and I have updated it to modern 2.4GHz. There is an additional plug on the backhead that could be used to add a blowdown. It has obviously been very well looked after throughout its life and it doesn’t appear to have seen much use prior to my ownership. Mechanically it is excellent – I’ve steamed it again this week and it ran very nicely in both directions. There is a very slight gas leak from where the needle valve exits which will need some attention by the new owner. Cosmetically it really is excellent for its age. It doesn’t have the wooden dumb buffers. There is a scratch on one of the side tanks just in front of the nameplate. There is a tiny bit of paint loss where the steam dome meets the boiler. There are a couple of very small patches of surface rust on the inside of a couple of the wheels. The red lining is original from the factory – I’m not sure about the white line? Its difficult to find many faults. I also have a dome from that period which I will include which could easily be fitted to the boiler band using a brass rose if you prefer to run with one. Later versions had one from standard. Thanks for looking – see my other listings.
