H0 Steam locomotive class 800. HO 1:87 Scale. AC – 3 Rail. Prototype : Union Pacific Railroad (UP) class 800 heavy steam locomotive, with an oil tender. Locomotive road number 844. The locomotive looks as it did starting in 2016. Model : The locomotive has an mfx+ digital decoder and extensive sound functions. It also has various operating sounds such as oil and water being replenished or the opening and closing of sliding windows and ventilation hatches on the cab, all of which can be controlled digitally. The locomotive has controlled high-efficiency propulsion with a flywheel, mounted in the boiler. The locomotive has Boxpok driving wheels. Maintenance-free warm white LEDs are used for the headlight on the locomotive and tender, cab lighting as well as number boards and marker lights, all of which can be controlled digitally. There is a factory-installed smoke generator with dynamic smoke exhaust. The headlights and smoke unit contact will work in conventional operation and can be controlled digitally. There are two powerful speakers in the tender. Imitation couplers in a standard pocket can be mounted on the pilot on the front of the locomotive. There is a close coupling with a mechanism between the locomotive and tender. The locomotive has separately applied metal grab irons. There are many other separately applied details. Locomotive constructed mostly of metal. Many separately applied details. World of Operation mfx+ digital decoder and extensive operation and sound functions included. Product info : Notes for operating this locomotive: The locomotive can be used on curved track with a radius of 437.5 mm / 17-1/4 (Radius 2) or more, however we recommend larger radii. Due to the overhang of the long boiler, signals, catenary masts, bridge railings, tunnel portals, etc. Must be installed for sufficient clearance on curves. The track must be well mounted due to the heavy weight of the locomotive. The locomotive can only be run through a turntable or transfer table. Length over the couplers approximately 41 cm / 16-1/8. N Class B 30-40 Ton Shay Locomotive Kit. (assembly and paint required). NOTE; We have a 9mm motor unit to power this Shay. This is a metal kit of a Class B, 30-40 Ton Shay Locomotive and designed to run on N guage track. While not based on any particular prototype, the kit contains enough detail parts to create your own version of a wood, coal or oil fired locomotive. This kit contains brass photo-etched details, Micro-Trains Link and Pin drawbars and Fox Valley 28 metal wheels (for the front truck). Read an interview by John Cubbin with Walter over at Raildig about this Shay. This is an interview on the Nn3 version, but most points apply to this N Scale version as well. The Nn3 version of this locomotive is also a featured article in N Scale Magazine July/August 2015 Edition (volume 27 number 4). The seven page article, The Short & Nn3arrow, is authored by Thomas Knapp and features many colorful photos of a step by step build. And his unique artistic touches to this detailed kit designed by Walter. He also does a review and “how to” procedure on JAX Pewter Black to blacken this model kit. Model train Class 78 Steam Locomotive. HO 1:87 Scale. Prototype: German Federal Railroad (DB) class 78 (former Prussian class T18) steam tank locomotive. Version with three boiler domes (D-D-S), and a rectangular sand dome. Riveted water tanks, cab roof with a rectangular top part, triple headlights with DB Reflex glass lamps. Road number 78 507. The locomotive looks as it did around 1965. Model : The locomotive has an mfx+ digital decoder and extensive sound functions. It has controlled high-efficiency propulsion with a flywheel, mounted in the boiler. The locomotive is constructed mostly of metal. A 72270 smoke generator can be installed in the locomotive. The triple headlights change over with the direction of travel. They and the smoke generator contact will work in conventional operation and can be controlled digitally. Dual red marker lights can be controlled separately in digital operation. The cab lighting can also be controlled in digital operation. Maintenance-free warm white and red LEDs are used for the lighting. The locomotive has numerous separately applied metal grab irons and piping. Protective piston rod sleeves and brake hoses are included. Especially intricate metal construction. Many separately applied details. Cab lighting can be controlled digitally. Marker lights can be controlled separately in digital operation. A 72270 smoke generator can be installed. Mfx+ digital decoder and a variety of operation and sound functions included. The minimum radius for operation is 360 mm / 14-3/16. Length over the buffers approximately 170 mm / 6-11/16. Note – Model item, not a toy! Not suitable for children under 14 years.
