Antique Bowman Live Steam Engine O Scale #234 with Hornby Tender #2711. The engine was made from 1928 until the 1940’s. Bowman is written on one side of the engine in small print. These engines were known to pull as many as 10 cars on one filling of fuel. The engine needs a burner and a black tin roof over the cab. As you can see by the photos, it is a project for restoration with lots of TLC. It is not unusual to find this engine with another manufacturers tender. This one came to me with a Hornby #2711 tender. It is the same color as the engine. The tender top trim is missing one side piece and the other side is bent down but is there. The rear piece is included see photos The tender coupler is missing. There is a lot of information about Bowman engines on the Western Division of the TCA manufacturers list. DOES NOT INCLUDE TRACK IN VIDEO! TRACK IS FOR DEMONSTRATION PURPOSES ONLY! I do not know if the steam function works. The locomotive is missing a small piece from the top right in front of the bell. Also, the previous owner tried to glue the little plastic pieces that hold the gold rail that runs across the top. This has made them loose and hard to fit back in the slot correctly. There is some cosmetic issues on the top of the train as well. It looks like excess glue. This locomotive runs smoothly in forward and reverse direction without issue. The train has some minor wear and tear from normal use and other than that and what was previously mentioned, the train is in good condition. Items are from a smoke free home. Comes only with what is pictured (MINUS TRACK) plus the original foam in the box. See photos for condition and/or measurements. If you require additional photos or measurements, please let me know.
