Live Steam 0-4-2 Locomotive. Scratch Built Locomotive originally built in 1994 by Brian Watt. Cylinders and motion are original Roundhouse Engineering parts. This locomotive was originally constructed with body side cylinders, with part open bodywork. The original build and subsequent modification were documented in Garden Rail October 1996. Of which copies are enclosed with the locomotive (see pictures). Modifications were made to remove this and place the cylinders in normal positions (also by Brian). This resulted in part length body side fabrication. The last modification was completed in late 1999 to the body and motion seen today. These were also done by Brian Watt and made the loco more “normal”. In 2019 the loco was partly rebuilt, to the same design, to replace some worn out parts. To upgrade the radio control to a Brand New 2.4GHz modern Absima system. And to refresh the, now maroon paintwork. A Rechargeable battery pack provides on board power for the locomotives electrics. No charger is included, any smart charger will be sufficient. The Locomotive is regaugeable for 32mm and 45mm. Currently set to 32mm with a ponytruck wheelset for 32mm. You will need to obtain one wheelset from Roundhouse for 45mm gauge to run at that gauge. The locomotive is standardised gas fired with lubricator and pressure gauge. This locomotive has wonderful 16mm heritage. All original build documentation and publication articles will be provided with the locomotive. Will be sent via fully tracked & insured courier (UPS, TNT, DPD) will not be sent by Hermes/Yodel. Courier will be chosen based on actual service info available on day of sending, due to known delays.
