A magnificent piece of railroad engineering, the American Locomotive Company (ALCo) produced 20 Big Boys in 1941 and another five in 1944. The ultimate articulated locomotive, the Union Pacific Big Boy now joins the American Flyer steam roster. Proportionally scaled down and re-engineered to run on S gauge, Big Boy #4014 comes loaded with features, including TrainMaster Command Control and RailSounds 5.0, DynaChuff synchronized chuffing, dual powerful motors with momentum flywheels, traction tires, fan-driven smoke unit, glowing firebox in cab, operating headlight, operating back-up light on rear of tender, operating marker lights, die-cast metal locomotive body, frame, pilot, and trucks, opening cab roof hatch, improved valve gear, separately applied metal details, engineer and fireman figures and this measures approximately 25 inches long.
