LION, 1837 – 1859. Live steam coal powered scratch built scale model standing on rails on a period mahogany display stand with turned mahogany feet and brass name plate. A beautiful and superb model which must have taken years to build. Has come out of the attic where it was put in 2016 after a boiler and pressure system test. Test certificate to 17/10/2020 and not steamed since test. Inherited many years ago and i know little about the model unfortunately except that it is too good to use in my opinion! Truly a top drawer display item for a discerning collector. The level of detail is amazing , all metal except the wood cladding on the boiler. Total length with stand nearly 33 inches long by 14 by 2 inches stand height. Overall max height 15 inches.. Approximate length of locomotive and tender 25 plus inches. A bit dusty from being in the attic. It deserves being collected but would reluctantly post in 3 seperate parcels. I will do my best to confine the coal and chippings that make up the track but they are bound to seperate and will need re fixing. K-Line O-Scale 4-6-2 Steam Locomotive Baltimore & Ohio B&O #5213 TESTED. Overall: 19-1/4″ Long (Coupler to Coupler) x 2-1/4″ Wide x 3-3/8 Tall. Locomotive: 10-1/2″ Long (Coupler to Coupler) x 2-1/4″ Wide x 3-3/8 Tall. Tender: 8-1/2″ Long (Coupler to Coupler) x 2-3/8″ Wide x 3-1/8 Tall. NOTE: Used, but in excellent overall condition. It was taken from a working train setup. I tested train operation with a piece of track and a controller and the locomotive moved forward, sound worked, and the main light lite up on front of locomotive (see pictures)! I do not know if this locomotive has a smoke unit. The locomotive appears to be free of any nicks that I can see (see pictures). The locomotive shown is brand new from Kato, N Scale 4-8-4 DC Steam Locomotive. It has had a new boiler shell applied that was custom painted to match the excursion era Union Pacific 4-8-4 Northern, #8444. The proptotype locomotive operated in this paint scheme for a number of years starting in 1989. This is not a used item, it is brand new and custom decorated for Wahsatch Model Trains.
