Union Pacific N scale KATO 4-8-4 FEF-3 UP # xxx Custom painted and decaled in Two Tone Gray. This has been bench tested as I dont have the radius to support this size of locomotive. This is a very difficult project and decaling the stripes can make you crazy. Ive done a number of these and nearly perfected this scheme. With that being said this is a paint job that needs to be left to the experts as the entire locomotive gets torn down to the frame. The lines and paint brakes are just about as perfect as anyone can get. Ive also got the paint colors for this project dialed in almost perfectly. I always say if you want a perfect project or model give the project to someone that is passionate about the project. Thats me for this project. I take on a lot of projects but this one is my absolute favorite. There is still a lot of opportunities with this model that can be added. I also repaint the front of the boiler as the prototypes do not have a silver boiler on the front. The whistle is painted to mirror the prototype. The Drivers come painted with a white ring around the edge, thats repainted black. The lights on the tender are painted correctly with a red light on the top of the tender and a yellow light illuminated on tender body.
